Taranto is one of the largest industrial cities in Southern Italy. Also known as a military port city, it is said to be the largest in Italy and the colour of the sea is clear blue and beautiful. You don't want to leave the place for a while because it's too beautiful. I went to the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto.
It was a fascinating place with a long history. I was surprised at the beauty and modern space in the hall. There are many exhibits, and it is spectacular. One visit is not enough. My favourite was the grave. Inside, you can see the skeleton through the mirror on the ceiling I really liked how it was shown.
I have an urge to go back to this era.
Also, the golden jewelry design shined the most beautiful. It's hard to imagine that in this era, beautiful designs were made by hand. I find it really interesting to see things made by people. Taranto prospered as a Greek colonial city in ancient times. Imagine what people of that era were making, and it's very moving and in a prosperous era, gold will surely appear. It is gorgeous and delicately decorated. I want to cherish the feeling and excitement I saw at this museum.
